A Method of Image Retrieval Combining Global and Local Dominant Color

An image retrieval method based on integrating the local primary color and the whole primary color is presented in this paper.The image is divided into sectors,and then extracts the sectors' primary color.The similarity for the whole primary color and the local primary color is matched simultaneously.Takes advantage of not only the color feature of the image but also concerns the spatial distribution of the color feature.The results and the performance are analyzed in detail.The experimental result shows that the proposed approach reflected the spatial information of colors and the local details of the image with better effects.
