On Atom-bond Connectivity Index of Bicyclic Graphs

In order to take factors into account but at the same time to keep the spirit of Randi c' index,Estrada et al.proposed a new index in 1998,known as the atom-bond connectivity(ABC) index.The ABC index has been applied up to now to the study of the stability of alkanes and the strain energy of cycloalkanes.In this paper,we give the sharp upper bound on ABC index of bicyclic graphs.
