The Transformation of“yuqi A,buru B”into“ningke B,yebu A”and Others
Zhou You-bi · Linguistics Study · 2004
ningke B,yebu A”and“yuqi A,buru B”are two patterns which are employed to express the differences among similarities and the similarities among differences respectively. There are three types of“yuqi A,buru B”patterns which can be transformed into“ningke B,yeb uA”,i.e both A and B are favorable; neither A nor B is favorable; A is favorable but B is not. The transformation can be achieved only when the semantic relations between A and B can meet the demands of the grammatical meaning of “ningke”pattern.
