A new reliable transport layer protocol is proposed for Ad Hoc networks called ATP.When the network path is unavailable,ATP enters the probing state in which it periodically sends out probing packets, which causes an overall degradation of throughout.EATP is a feedback-based enhanced ATP mechanism,it uses a timer to limit the number of probing packet while rout failure, and the problem of consecutive dupACKs will not arise. The analyses and simulations show that EATP outperforms TCP-ELFN in terms of throughout and power consumption in Ad Hoc Networks.
