A phase-grouping line extraction method based on fuzzy-entropy

Phase-grouping line extraction method can detect the low contrast straight line so it also extracts a large number of far short lines for the reason of noise and details of the background,burdening the following work. This paper presented a method of separating the primary figure straight line and the far short lines representing for noise and background with a line length threshold; it is obtained through building line length histogram with all support area,in maximum fuzzy-entropy principle and conditional probabilities basis. With this threshold can extract image’s outline; the experiment show that the algorithm has better performances than the traditional method.
