Study on the Fuzzy Evaluation of the Stability of Tunnel Surrounding Rock

Tunnel engineering is the underground structural works which are subject to a variety of complex factors.Although the deformation of the tunnel clearance displacement can,to a certain extent, effectively reflect the stability of the tunnel,it cannot make reasonable judgments about the overall stability of the tunnel. In order to better address this issue, this paper applies the principle of fuzzy mathematics to weigh various affecting factors effectively, and uses the principle of AHP to determine the relation among these factors. This evaluation model takes into account comprehensively the impact of several major factors on the stability of the tunnel, and can well reflect the stability of the tunnel surrounding rock, thereby making assessment more scientific and rational.
