Research on the Methods of Platform-Based SoC System Modeling

Faced to platform-based SoC design, we put forward a constrained taskflow graph (CTG) as the SoC system model. Based on CTG, we give a novel SoC system modeling method and implement the system modeling environment CPSME. CTG is a granularity variable SoC system model; it describes both functionality and performance constraints for tasks. Our platform-based CTG SoC system modeling method improves the efficiency of SoC modeling by supporting the CTG system level reuse and customization. In CPSME, we have conducted the SoC system modeling for MP3 and MPEG2 players. Rresults show that the new method attains an excellent model reuse rate of 75%~ 90%.
