A Continuous Data Protection Mechanism Based on I/O Grid

With the rapid development of storage technology,conitinous data protection(CDP) function becomes an important data protection and recovery method in modern storage system. Accordig to the merits and faults of the realization mechanism of current different CDP,this paper proposes a continuous data protection mechanism based on I/O grid,I/O-CDP).Traditional CDP technology measures with disk volume as unit.When there is a data consistency requirement within multi disk volumes,there would be a lack of consistent corrent I/O speed within disk volumes, thus the data consistency can not be promised among disk volumes.I/O-CDP technology can set these disk volumes as a consistent group.A consistent group can continuously protect the volumes,and take over applications,or directly rollback to production volumes to normal running after a disaster happens.
