Design of Radiation Inspection System Based on Ionizing Radiation Detector

A design of radiation inspection system was based on ionizing radiation detector. The system uses the embedded microcontroller as control unit,the ionizing radiation detector as sensing unit to detect the intensity of radiation and the GPSone model to measure the location of the radiation and communication to the telnet inspection center. This on-line monitoring system integrates the function of radiation detection and location,wireless communication and alarm. Experiment result shows that radiation inspection system can monitor the intensity and location of radiation which monitoring inaccuracy of intensity below 15 % ,and the precision of location ranges from 6 to 50 meters.
