A New Method of Medical Digital Meters’Computer Automatic Reading

A new method of medical digital meters’computer automatic reading is proposd. The basic method is to locate the characters of number according to the vertical and level projection of the image of meters’display area. Then the characters’segmentation base on the vertical projection is individually figure out. At last,drafting a standard,the number of 0—9 basing is recognized on the feature of seven digital tubes. It reduces error recognition rate. Facts show that this approach is fast and simple,that it can meet real - time demand,and the recognition effect is nice,so it is an efficient new method.
