As an advanced technology of 3G,HSDPA has been treated more and more important. There are many ways to study the network planning of WCDMA system introducing HSDPA.Since the standard of TD-SCDMA is brought up later,it is not as completable as WCDMA.This paper elaborates the basic method of network planning in TD-SCDMA and WCDMA respectively. It also analyzes the differences between them in order to direct the next step of network planning of TD-SCDMA system introducing HSDPA.
