Fen Hou · Jisuanji gongcheng · 2003

Since 1980 when the first congestion collapse is reported TCP, conge stion control scheme has been improving. By adding the fast retransmit and fast recovery the improved TCP congestion control scheme can avoid congestion collap se effectively. With the rapid development of Internet, more and more real-time multimedia services such as IP phone and Vo D are constituting the major share of Internet traffic. Because these traffics usually do not employ TCP how to a djust these flows, make them meet the characters of TCP-friendly and share the b andwidth with the TCP flows is becoming more and more important. In this paper TCP congestion control policy is discussed firstly, then analyzes several TCP-fr iendly congestion control schemes and affords the future of the research on TCP- friendly congestion control mechanism.
