Connection Admission Control in Satellite ATM Switching System: A New Improved Strategy

Connection admission control(CAC) is an important part in satellite ATM switching system.A new improved strategy which utilizes the buffer to reallocate sub-beams is proposed which can solve the problem that high CLR(cell loss ratio) may happen in FBR(fast buffer reservation) algorithm in satellite ATM switching wystem.In addition,the improved FBR(IFBR) algorithm is analyzed and simulated by fluid flow model.The results show that increasing buffer size in IFBR algorithm can reduce CLR.
