A Scheme of VoIP QoS Based on Differentiated Services and AMR Coding Technology

Enqing Dong · Microelectronics & Computer · 2005

A scheme of VoIP QoS based on network and terminals is proposed. On the basis of network providing differentiated services, AMR (Adaptive Multi-Rate) speech coders are adopted on VoIP terminals, coding rates can be adjusted to the condition of the network adaptively. The result of simulation experiments shows that this scheme can provide better QoS guarantee by cooperating between network and terminals than other schemes mentioned in the paper.
