Mining distributed web access patterns based on DWLMS model

Yang Bing-ru · Journal of Tsinghua University(Science and Technology) · 2005

A number of mirror image websites are established to improve the visited efficiency, which makes it difficult to obtain the overall user access patterns knowledge. The goal of web access patterns mining is to discover the access pattern and hidden information from the huge collection of documents plus hyperlink information, access and usage information. The path analysis technique is important. This paper presents a distributed web log mining system DWLMS model and the more general incremental updating algorithms of local frequent paths LFP and global frequent paths GFP in a distributed database system based on DWLMS for discovering the frequent access paths. The algorithms solve troubles which are made by the real time incremental distributed web access information and the more communication number. The method is realized and tested with real world web logs information. The results show that the algorithms are valid.
