Reservoir prediction is an important link in oil/gas exploration and development, however it is also a very difficult work because of its being influenced by many factors, such as complicated subsurface geological condi tions, data quality, prediction method and processing per-sonel's intellectual level, etc. In combination with the log ging and drilling data, the seismic data have been widely ap plied to reservoir prediction at present through various inver sions, attribute extraction and cluster analysis, etc, and there have been many successful examples there. But there also exist some problems and misunderstanding in doing such a work currently. In the paper, the influences of original da ta quality, sampling rate and resolution factor, drilling and logging data s utilization, processing methods, parameters and color code, etc, on reservoir prediction results are ana lyzed and discussed, and the relevant views and suggestions the interpretation and application of achievements and the de crease in multi-solvability of interpretation are put forward, thus promoting the further development in reservoir predic tion techniques.
