Outsourced database is a newly developed data service model.Due to its special service mode, its data security has always been a major concern. The service model and the requirements of data security in outsourced database are discussed in this paper.A content verification and query mechanism for encrypted outsourced database is then proposed and aprototype system is developed using MYSQL which validates the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
