Design and Implementation of Low-Power Charge-Pump Programmable Gain Amplifier
Chengyan Ma · 2008
A circuit model of low-power programmable gain amplifier (PGA)was presented.By mathematic modeling and VerilogA simulation, optimized conditions and simplified model for settling time of conventional AGC were obtained. And digital controlling and low power dissipation of PGA were achieved by adopting ADC and charge-pump circuit.Based on the proposed design, a PGA with 1 mA current and 60 dB dynamic range of gain was implemented using TSMC’s 0.18 μm CMOS single-poly six-metal process.
