Multiple video watermarking algorithm with complementary robustness in wavelet transform domain

Digital watermarking is an efficient method to protect the video copyright. A novel complementary video watermarking algorithm that can resist the spatio-temporal de-synchronization attacks simultaneously was presented in this paper. The first watermark information against geometric distortion was embedded into pixels along the temporal axis. The second watermark information against temporal de-synchronization attacks was embedded in each frame by using still image watermarking technique. Thus, to any attack class, at least one watermark can survive. Two watermarks can be extracted independently without the original digital video signal. Experimental results show that the complementary watermarking algorithm is robust against temporal de-synchronization attacks as frame dropping, frame insertion and geometric attacks.
