TCP Congestion Control Using Bandwidth and Delay Estimation Under Ad Hoc Network

With the help of the cross-layer interactive mechanism,a scheme for improvement was proposed.In the scheme,first the bandwidth and delay in MAC layer were measured and passed back to the sending end,Then transport layer of sending end modified its sending rate according to the received information.Simulation results in bath static and dynamic scenarios show that the method decreases the slow-start times largely and imcrease the TCP throughput a lot.The improved TCP is more adaptable to the environment of Ad hoc network,which in turn improves the function of network.
