On a process of identifying the sea surface target by using D-S evidence theory, the method of how to determine basic probability assignment (BPA) by measured data of sensor is studied. Firstly, the obtained radar signal radio frequency, pulse width, repeat frequency are composed to get a combined probability assignment function of radar parameters by applying D-S method. Then, according to the correlation between radar and ship, the BPA of target platform from radar basic probability assignment is obtained. Secondly, the BPA of target platform from measured ship velocity also can be derived. Finally, the identification of sea surface target is convinced.
