STUDY ON IDENTIFICATION CRITERION OF SMALL EXPLOSION IN URUMQI'S NEIGHBOURING AREA

Using records of displacement seismographs and velocity seismographs at a few of seismostations in Urumqi area, the difference between small artificial explosion records and natural earthquake records and the criterion to identify small explosions were analyzed. It is found that there are different features in phase, distribution of P wave first motion marks, amplitude attenuation,amplitude ratio A\-S/A\-P between explosion records and earthquake records. Based on these features, we gave the single criterions and comprehensive criterion to identify explosions.
