Analysis on Frequent Language Mistakes in the English Abstracts of Sports Periodical

For the purpose of standardizing English abstract writing and facilitating international communication,this paper detailed analyzes frequent language mistakes found in the English abstracts of sports periodical by means of literature review,logical analysis and data analysis and combining with the view of English Linguistics theory and features of English abstract writing.The result shows that the certain mistakes exist in grammar,vocabulary and sentence in English abstract of sports periodical.The main reason causing it is mother tongue transfer- ence,author's English proficiency and non-standard requirement.Based on analysis,beneficial reference is put forwarded on writing of English abstract of sports periodical.
