DOA estimation based on symbol-rate correlation matrices in asynchronous DS-CDMA systems

This paper presents a DOA estimation algorithm of multipath signals in asynchronous DS-CDMA systems. First, antenna array is divided into two groups with equal elements. And symbol-rate correlation matrices between the groups which have no noise items are constructed sequently. Then, DOA related information is separated from the matrices according to the least squares criteria. Finally, using MUSIC algorithm, each DOAs are resolved serially. The proposed algorithm has the advantages of high resolution, strong robustness and low demand for hardware. Simulation results confirm the effectiveness of the algorithm.
