Research and application of CBR's progression

This paper presents the progression of theory and application of CBR(case-based reasoning) in recent years.Theories include the representation of knowledge in CBR,the case-based explanation,retrieval failure and recovery of case,case adaptation and maintenance,comparison between CBR and other AI technologies,etc.In addition,we present some representative CBR applications about computer and IT,biology and medicine,etc.,and outline others fields' application.At last,we summarize this paper and forecast the future possible research direction of CBR.
