Image Retrieval Based on Texture Spectrum Feature for Connected Regions of Dominant Color

According to the concept of texture spectrums, this paper puts forward and implements a CBIR(content-based image retrieval)method which combines the connected region information of dominant color with the texture spectrum feature.The method integrates the information of color construction and distribution,and extracts the texture spectrum feature for each connected region of dominant color in an image.A linear weighted histograms intersection method is employed as a similarity function.Suitable weighted coefficients are then analyzed and provided.The method efficiently combines the color information with the texture feature,and improves retrieval quality without remarkably increasing computational time.
