Performance analysis of MC-CDMA system with adaptive subcarriers allocatin

Recently, multicarrier transmission schemes have been introduced to combat intersymbol interference (ISI), a major problem in wireless transmission over multipath fading channel . The conventional MC system is to transmit identical narrowband waveform in parallel over all the subcarries. In this paper, we propose an adaptive subcarrier allocation scheme for multicarrier system, which can detect and eliminate subcarries. In the scheme, each user's waveform is transmitted over the subcarriers except ill conditioned subcarriers rather than all the subcarriers. It is shown through simulations that adaptive subcarrier allocation scheme,when used in conventional MC CDMA system,the performance will be greatly improved.
