ANALYSIS OF 26 CASES OF FAT EMBOLISM SYNDROME

Objective To study the mechanism,early diagnostic criteria and treatment of fat embolism syndrome(FES) so as to improve the early diagnosis and treatment.Methods The observation of the clinical history of 26 fat embolism syndrome cases encountered from 1990 to 2004 was made.Results Of the 26 fat embolism syndrome patients,22 cases got complete recovery,2 case died of respiratory failure and 2 case died of MOFS.Conclusion Timely detection,early diagnosis and proper therapy can help to improve patients' prognosis and to decrease the death rate in diagnosing and treating fat embolism syndrome.
