Digital Seabed Database: Study on Integration and Management Method for Multisource and Comprehensive Seabed Data

In this paper,the recent developments in seabed data digitalization are reviewed.Based on the analysis of seabed data features and the advanced database management system ORACLE and spatial data engine SDE,the analysis and study of the storage structure of seabed data,the distributed-integrated database system,the normalized spatial database technique and the management structure of seabed metadata are made,and the methods for integrating the comprehensive seabed data are proposed to effectively integrate and represent these data and to organize and manage these data resources.This data integration and management method has been applied in building the Bohai Sea engineering geology database to effectively integrate the mass seabed data and to meet the practical requirements of the Bohai oil field engineering geology environment exploration and marine engineering construction.
