Wavelet Analysis Theory and Its Application to Heat-conduction

Wavelet analysis is characterized as temporal and frequency locality.This paper presents the principles of Wavelet-Galerkin method which combines wavelet analysis and traditional methods.Furthermore,the application of Wavelet-Galerkin method to heat conduction equation was discussed.The results show that this method is particularly applicable to solving heat conduction equations.
