Analysis of association rule mining algorithms based on the concept lattice and the Apriori algorithm

A concept lattice represents knowledge by the relation between the intension and extension of a concept and the relation between the generalization and specialization of a concept,thus it is applied to the description of association rules mining in databases.The Quantitative Concept Lattice(QCL),which evolves from the concept lattice by introducing equivalence relation to its intension and quantity to its extension,can be used to mine the association rules the users are interested in.In comparison with the Apriori algorithm,with the QCL,the frequent item sets need not be calculated,then a great many of redundant association rules are reduced,and the efficiency of association rules mining is improved.
