Research to PMS Mission Sustainability Simulating Models

Phased-Mission System (PMS) is a kind of typical complex system. It includes several Phased Missions which are sequential and non-overlapped with each other in mission time. Most weapon system to execute battle mission and usage mission are fallen into this complex system. PMS and its’ mission sustainability evaluating parameters including mission reliability; dependability and mission effectiveness were analyzed. In view of the characteristics that fact weapon systems mostly belonged to repairable system which could be described with Markov process, some hypotheses were given for predigesting the complexity of models. Then, by analyzing PMS mission sustainability modeling steps and PMS mission effectiveness simulation method, PMS mission effectiveness multilayer simulating models based on Petri-net were established combining to PMS self-characteristics. Example validation and simulation result analysis were given with mission of target practice.
