Real-time Performance Analysis of RBC System for CTCS Lever 3 Using Stochastic Petri Networks

The real-time performance index of the RBC(Radio Block Center) system is the key element in Ope-ration of the CTCS-3 train control system.This paper proposes a new method for analyzing system perfor-mance according to the theories of the Markov random process and stochastic Petri Networks.It also analyzes the operating mechanism of the CTCS-3 system,constructs the stochastic Petri Networks model of RBC which is divided into the cycle time sub-model and non-cycle time sub-model,and makes use of the reference data of ERTMS / ETCS to analyze the real-time performance of RBC under the GSM-R communication environment.Finally,this paper gets the average delay curves of different parameters in terms of the system cycle and number of trains.The result supplies reference to specifications formulation and practical development of the CTCS-3 train control system.
