The Vulnerability and Defensing Technology on the Software Vulnerability of Dangling Pointer

A dangling pointer is a pointer to storage that is no longer allocated. The use of it will cause the vulnerability. In order to improve the security of programs in time, the class bug is analyzed. The discussion focuses on the causes, the characteristics, the principles of the exploit and some attacking methods, such as on using the ecx or using lookasides lists. According to the characteristics of this exploit, some recoveries and detecting measures are discussed in the end.
