An Algorithm for Weak Signal Detection in Strong Noise Environment

Algorithms of constructing wavelet filters based on adaptive filtering algorithms are studied with emphasis on how to construct the sub-band adaptive wavelet filters for detecting weak signals from a high noisy environment.Wavelet transform(WT) and adaptive filtering are used to detect weak signals.An algorithm for electrocardio-graphic(ECG) signal detection with WT based on adaptive matched filter is proposed.The results show that this method can further improve the detection capability.The algorithm is a quite effective method for the extraction features of weak signals and improving the ratio of signal to noise.
