An Artificial Neural Network Forecast Model for Regional Soil Water-Salt Regime

A four-layer Artificial neural network model (BP) was developed and applied for simulating and forecasting dynamic movement of water and salt in soil in Hetao irrigation district, based on long-term regional soil water-salt monitoring data. The results indicated that the BP network model is suitable for regional soil water-salt forecasting with a good precision, and a good supplement to traditional water-salt prediction methods.
