Design of a kind of active RFID regional positioning system

A lower power consumption and cost RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) regional positioning system based on microcontroller PIC16F877A and transceiver cc2500 was proposed in this paper.The operational principle of positioning,main hardware modules and positioning algorithm are all introduced.The method of sorting algorithm based on operations of serial number to the number of time slots can solve the problem of communication collision of multi-tags effectively.Plane positioning of multi-tags of RFID system was achieved by Received Signal Strength Indication(RSSI) and the circle positioning algorithm.The experiment illustrates that this kind of radio frequency positioning method can be well applied to wireless regional positioning under a certain accuracy.
