Bird damage is the important factor to threat the safe and stable operation of overhead transmission line.Bird damage prevention has relative definite work thought after experiences accumulation for many years.The paper analyzes the character,rule and method of bird damage prevention and treatment.Study evaluation are made to the new bird damage prevention and treatment technology,new product in recent years.The problems to be paid attention in the extension of new bird damage prevention and treatment technology are summed up.It is expected to supply reference for other maintainers of overhead transmission line.
