Study on Grain Filling Characters of Large Varieties of Rice

[Objective]The study aimed to reveal grouting mechanism of grains of rice.[Method]2 large varieties of rice were chosen,which 1 000-weight over 40 g,to study grain filling characteristics compare with 2 ordinary ones.[Result]The maximum grain filling rate appeared about 24 to 27 days after anthesis for large,which fastigium was put off compare with ordinary ones(15 to 23 days) ;grain filling rate curves of large seeds were right,ordinary one were left;large ones had great initial grain filling potential and the maximum and mean grain filling rate more than twice compare with ordinary ones;the active grain filling period was shorter than ordinary ones.[Conclusion]Filling characteristics of large seeds rice was better than that of ordinary ones.
