Manufacture of high strength and quick drying starch adhesive at room temperature

In this paper, a starch adhesive with high strength and quick drying was prepared in the presence of the combined catalyst and by employing H_2O_2 as oxidizing agent and other additives at room temperature. Some factors affecting the properties of the starch adhesive and their brief mechanism were discussed. Results confirmed that the optimum composition of the starch adhesive met the requirements of the performances. The corrugated fiberboard produced by using this kind of starch adhesive had the advantages of high strength and quick drying.
