The Introduction of G.729 Series Algorthm

The algorithm for speech coding G.729 was made by ITU T in 1996, which adopted the technology called conjugate construction algebra codebook linear prediction excitation . The merits such as good synthesis speech quality and low delay made G.729 have wide application fields (such as PSTN). In recent years, ITU T has made G.729A, G.729B, G.729C, G.729D and G.729E based on G.729 for different application fields. The basic principle of G.729 is firstly introduced in this article, then the mendings for each of which are analysed in detail. Finally , the application fields are discussed.
