A Developing Model of Data Warehouse Based on Ontology

Requirement achieving and homogeneity data are the two difficult problems in the process for developing the Data Warehouse. The coherence problem of comprehension between person and person and between machine and machine stand behind the two big problems. Ontology is the model about the essence of things, and it offers strong foundation for achieving the two coherence and reuse. This paper decomposes ontology into Domain Ontology and Task Ontology based on the two key problems during settling the science problems——correctly defining the problem domain and the settling way. And a Developing Mmodel of Data Warehouse Based on Ontology is brought forward based on the two problems.
