Discussion on Security Risks and Measures of Neurology Nursing

Objective To investigate the security risks and appropriate measures to neurology nursing. Methods From May 2009 to March 2010, 80 cases of neurology patients in our hospital were chosen and divided into two groups, 40 cases of the control group received conventional nursing, 40 cases of the observation group got additional nursing measures on the basis of conventional nursing, 20 nurses of observation group received early morning nursing rounds teaching and relevant education, to analyze the risk factors for neurology patients, to compare patient satisfaction and nurse awareness of diseases between the two groups. Results The patient satisfaction was 97.5%, nurse awareness rate of diseases was 95% in the observation group; the patient satisfaction was 87.5%, nurse awareness rate of diseases was 80.0%, (P 0.05), with statistically significant difference. Conclusion As many risk factors in the neurology nursing, we will strengthen the improvement of clinical knowledge for nurses, focus on comprehensive nursing, and take specific nursing measures to reduce the incidence of safety accidents and improve patient satisfaction.
