Certificate-based encryption scheme without bilinear pairing

Ji Yao · Information technology newsletter · 2013

The certificate-based encryption(CBE) is a new PKC paradigm which overcomes the inherent defects of identity-based encryption(IBE) and traditional public key encryption(PKE).Presently, most of the CBE schemes are constructed of bilinear pairings, which need more computational cost than the ordinary exponentiation. So it is popular to provide CBE schemes that does not depend on the pairings.Recall the original model of CBE,this paper gives out a conception on certificate public key.It constructs a new CBE scheme and prove that in the random oracle, the scheme meets the chosen ciphertext security, assuming the decision Diffie-Hellman problem is intractable.
