A COMPUTER-AIDED DATABASE DESIGN SYSTEM

Q Wang · Computer Applications and Software · 1994

A computer-aided database design system CAD2B in using Turbo C on AST-286 is introduced in this paper. The system provides users with a mam-machine interactive environment for conceptual modelling. The system can do mapping auto-matically from conceptual model to logical model and create relational tables in accord with demands of normalization. The conceptual model mentioned in the system has adopted events and time so that the semantics (static and dynamic) of application environments can be fully expressed and the model becomes the base to map to relational schema.
