Application of wavelet-based image enhancement method in radiographic non-destructive testing

In this paper, we applied an image enhancement method based on wavelet analysis to radio-graphic NDT images in order to reduce noises in them. An experiment was carried out with some actual radiographic images and it turned out to be successful. The images enhanced by the wavelet-based method were much better than the parallel images processed by other traditional methods.
