Design and simulation of an improved leading-one prediction circuit

The leading-one prediction is one part of the floating point adder.There are two methods to realize it.One method is based on leading-one judge and the other method is based on leading-one prediction.This paper puts forward a new design based on the typical leading-one prediction algorithm.For some operators the typical path is not necessary,the position of the leading-one can be judged directly by judging the operators.In this case,we can predict the position of the leading-one by two paths.For most of the operators,the speed of the operation can be accelerated and the power consumption can be lower.
