Facial Expression Recognition Based on Log-Gabor Transformations and ADABOOST

The recognition efficiency of two-dimension facial expression images influenced by different degrees of sunlight and deformations was elaborated.The input two-dimension facial expression was filter-processed by transforming Log-Gabor wavelets.Two-dimension facial expression was also recognized by means of Adaboost.The accurate recognition efficiency of two-dimension facial expression was still better than ever before even when it was influenced by a certain degree of deformations and sunlight.In addition,the calculating speed was slightly improved as well.
