A Study of Spatio-temporal Process Modeling Based on Petri Net for Land Alteration

Through analysis for several representative spatio-temporal data modeling, the paper points out any limitation about these method of modeling. These models are difficult to depict and express the spatio-temporal semantics. Then the paper brings forward one method that modeling for spatio-temporal process is based on Time Petri-Net and sub-process of level-extend way. This can depict and express spatio-temporal data and its transition process. In Petri-Net, Position/state and transition link those look like discrete spatio-temporal process. Finally, the paper gave a particular description of land changing. And the method of modeling can express the spatio-temporal process of world.
