Sequential uncertainty domain based on ant colony optimization for solving an inverse hydrogeologic problem

A new sequential uncertainty domain method called SUACO is presented on the basis of ant colony optimization,which is adapted to solve complex combination optimization problems.Firstly,inverse hydrogeologic problems are transformed into combination optimization problems.Ant colony optimization is adopted to solve these combination optimization problems.Finally,two inverse hydrogeologic problems are solved by SUACO.The results show that SUACO is both effective and efficient in parameter identification.
